ABOUT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
As a long standing member of the PC(USA), First Presbyterian Church, Lexington has been serving the broader community since 1873. Our congregation exists to worship, serve and praise God. We are people called by God to do His work, recognizing that a true life of prayer and faith requires us to live as we talk. Open and clear communication is important in all aspects of our ministry. Our congregation's effective lay leadership extends into the community to bring others to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, enriching their lives as well as the lives of our congregation. We want to be a learning congregation where our faith family can increase in the knowledge of God's written and living Word.
We endeavor to provide a safe space for all people to come and explore their faith. Emotional, physical and spiritual safety is of paramount importance so that people might be equipped to deepen their relationship with God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Eddie serves the church by offering preaching, teaching and pastoral care. He has seen all the Marvel series on Netflix and DisneyPlus, and knows an unusually large amount of baseball trivia.
DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP MINISTRIES
Holly serves the church by facilitating all things relevant to worship experiences. She has an affinity for foreign and art films and nothing makes her happier than a house full of people.
Kimmy serves the church by keeping the books and paying our bills in a timely manner. She also is the first to greet you when you visit or call the church! She is a certified sci-fi enthusiast and enjoys fireworks, some might say, a bit too much.
Linda serves the church by making the activities in the church building run smoothly. She is an avid sewer and baker.
Sarah serves the church by running the office and keeping it all organized. Sarah enjoys photography, traveling, and restoring old homes.
