This is the 2nd Sunday of January which means that the handbell choir, the Joy Ringers, will delight our ears with an introit and anthem. You won’t want to miss their beautiful music!

 

During this Sunday’s sermon time we’ll discuss baptism. According to the liturgical calendar, this is when we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord. So we’ll do that and also remember and give thanks for our own baptism. Further, we’ll explore how both historically within context and currently, baptism serves as a counter measure to fear. “Fear not beloved child” is our theme for 2025 and baptism certainly contributes to our not succumbing to fear when people try to use it to manipulate us and deceive us. We’ll discuss these things and more. I hope you can join us!
